Delivery and collection are arranged with the seller. MarketLane has no shared warehouse, courier booking service or collection-point network.
Understand the listing’s delivery option
| Listing label | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Courier delivery available | The seller can discuss courier delivery. Ask for coverage, price, dispatch time and estimated arrival. |
| Local collection | Agree the collection address, opening hours, date and who will hand over the item. |
| Collection or courier | Choose an option with the seller and confirm its total cost before paying. |
Ask for the complete delivery quote
- Share your suburb or postal code first so the seller can check delivery coverage and cost. Provide your full address only when it is needed to fulfil the purchase.
- Confirm charges for remote areas, large or heavy items, insurance and any other delivery services before paying.
- Ask whether assembly, installation, stairs or an additional delivery attempt are included, where relevant.
- Ask separately about dispatch time and transit time. A seller’s city is not a guarantee of nationwide delivery.
- Agree an international shipment separately, if the seller offers it, including customs arrangements and all charges. MarketLane does not arrange international shipping.
Track a delivery or change an address
Ask the seller for the courier name, tracking reference and dispatch confirmation. Use the courier’s official tracking service. There is no live parcel-tracking screen in MarketLane.
For a delay, missed delivery or an address change, contact the seller promptly. The business can check with its courier. An address change may not be possible after dispatch; ask about any additional costs before agreeing to them.
Collect an item safely
Get the collection details in writing and check whether someone else may collect on your behalf. Inspect the item against the description where practical and keep proof of handover. Agree a safe collection location and time. Do not share a bank PIN, card security code or banking OTP to collect a parcel.
A parcel is missing, damaged or incomplete
Record what happened
Keep the tracking reference and delivery messages. For damage or missing contents, take photos of the parcel, label, packaging and items as soon as practical.
Contact the seller
Describe the issue and include the item, transaction reference and evidence. Ask the business to investigate and explain the next steps.
Keep the goods and packaging
Keep them available for inspection where possible. For an unsafe or faulty product, stop using it and follow appropriate safety guidance.
