Find the right product
Search by product or business name, or browse a department. Narrow the results by price, province and condition. Open the listing to read the description and see who is selling it.
Confirm the details with the seller
Use Email the business or Enquire on WhatsApp. Check the exact model, size or colour, available quantity, condition, full price, delivery charge and expected dispatch date.
Choose how to pay
A listing with payment links shows Checkout. Review the item and seller’s delivery terms, choose an available gateway, and continue to the seller’s payment page. If there is no Checkout button, discuss the purchase with the seller.
Keep your proof and arrange fulfilment
Keep the gateway receipt and the seller’s written confirmation. Ask the business for an invoice, collection instructions or courier tracking. Your purchase is not automatically tracked inside MarketLane.
Check these details before paying
- The business name and a working contact method. A listing is not a MarketLane verification or endorsement of the business.
- The exact item, quantity, specifications, condition and included accessories. Ask about anything the photo does not show.
- The total in South African rand, including delivery and any applicable taxes or other charges. A displayed item price is not a delivery quote.
- Dispatch time, delivery area or collection address, and what happens if the product is unavailable.
- The seller’s cancellation, change-of-mind, returns and warranty information, subject to your legal rights.
What to expect at checkout
Checkout is for one listed product at a time. There is no combined basket across sellers. For several products or more than one unit, agree the quantities and a complete quote with the business first.
The gateway page is supplied by the seller. Check its business name, item and ZAR amount again. Do not pay if they differ from what you agreed. MarketLane does not reserve stock, hold money in escrow or provide a buyer-protection programme.

Need help after paying?
Contact the seller using the details on the listing and include the item, payment date and transaction reference. Keep a copy of the listing and your messages. For a missing receipt or an unexpected charge, also check with the payment provider or your bank.
